Local pickup. In person. No exceptions.
We are hobbyists branching into sales, which means the process is simple and personal: you talk to us, you see the fish, you pay in person. Nothing is shipped and nothing is sold sight-unseen.
Display only, not for breeding purposesAll fish are sold as display stock only. We do not sell breeding pairs, breeding groups or breeding rights.
The rules of exchange
In person only
Every transaction happens face to face at pickup. No shipping, no couriers, no third-party pickups, no online checkout.
Cash or e-transfer
Cash or e-transfer only, paid at the time of pickup. We do not take cards, cheques or deposits through the site.
Local pickup
Kingston, Ontario or Battersea, Ontario — whichever we agree on. By appointment, because this is our home, not a storefront.
Pricing by size
Prices are based on size and species. Call Mike for current pricing on the size band you want — we do not post flat prices.

How a sale works

Reach out
Text or call Mike at 613 331 2847. Tell us the species, the size you are after and what your tank looks like. Photos of your setup help.

Confirm what's available
We will tell you what is in the tank, what size it is at, and what it costs. Availability moves quickly — a fish is not held until we confirm it with you.
03
Book a viewing or pickup
We agree on a time in Kingston or Battersea. You can view the fish in person before anything is paid — that is the point of local pickup.
04
Pay and take it home
Cash or e-transfer at pickup. We bag the fish properly, walk you through acclimation and send you home with the water parameters it came from.

Pricing
Size tiers, call for price.
A three-inch Johanni and a five-inch Johanni are not the same fish to a keeper, and they do not cost the same. Rather than post a number that is wrong half the time, we quote on what is actually available:
- Juvenile — unsexed, colour still developing
- Sub-adult — sexing visible, best value
- Young adult — showing colour
- Adult / alpha male — full display fish
Group pricing is available when you are stocking a whole tank — tell us the footprint and we will work with you.

Day live guarantee
If it does not survive the first fifteen days, call us.
Every fish sold carries a 15-day live guarantee. To keep it valid, the fish must go into a cycled, heated tank within the parameters we provide, be acclimated as we walk you through at pickup, and be fed appropriately for its species.
If you lose a fish inside the fifteen days, contact Mike with photos and the water test results from the tank. We will make it right — replacement where stock allows, or a credit toward another fish. Guarantee does not cover losses caused by uncycled tanks, water parameter mismatch, overfeeding, aggression in a tank we advised against, or fish added to an existing outbreak.
No shipping means no transit losses. That is one of the reasons we stay local.
